ENGLISH PRE-8/9 ADVANCED INTRODUCTORY GRAMMAR
This three-week non-credit grammar review course comprises an intensive review of basic grammar and syntax but mainly introduces more advanced issues with usage, mechanics, and sentence formation. It requires 27 hours of class work (1 3/4 hours per day for three weeks), plus a like amount of daily homework. This course is ideal for new-to-MUS eighth and ninth graders who have limited prior experience with the basics of traditional English grammar (parts of speech, word functions in sentences, phrases and clauses, sentence errors).
